May is National Mental Health Awareness Month and Water Safety Awareness Month. Teacher Appreciation week is May 6-10!!  Graduation Party Friday,  May 31^st! * No School on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27^th.

Our language this month is Italian!  We will be learning “How Pour Water through a Funnel”.  We will be learning Montessori’s Work Cycle to practice how to work in the classrooms.  As part of our Cultural and Science lessons, we will be learning about Reptiles, Amphibians and Fish.  We’re also having a special Picnic at school this month!  For Sensorial we will work with the Touch Boards to refine our sense of touch.   In Math we will do work with the Seguin Boards to learn about the Teens and Tens.  Special Mothers Day treat for Moms on Friday morning May 10th!  More info to come soon!

GRADUATION---We are celebrating the achievements of all of our children on Friday, May 31^st!  We will have a Graduation Party and each child will receive a diploma.  As always, Parents are welcome to attend!

Our language this month is German!  As part of our Practical Life curriculum we will be learning how to do Montessori’s Daily Greeting and How to Answer the Telephone.  We’ll read “Stories of Famous People” and learn about The Seasons as part of our Cultural and Science lessons.  In Mathematics we will be doing Montessori’s Memory Game of Numbers.  We will work on our vocabulary by using the Small Picture and Object Boxes.  Finally, we are learning about Fire Safety with a visit from Mesa Firefighters!   Fall/Halloween Party October 29^th!  Please see the Party needs sign-up sheet in our Lobby. Our language this month is French!  We are learning how to say “Hello”

and “red” in French.  As part of our Practical Life curriculum we will be learning How to Put Down a Chair and How to Pour Grain.  We’ll learn about the Continents Globe and The Function of a Stem as part of our Cultural and Science lessons.  In Mathematics we will be working with Montessori’s Spindle Boxes.  We will refine our awareness of sound by playing The Silence Game, as well.  Finally, we will be working with the Mystery Bag as part of our Sensorial Lessons and also send letters to our Grandparents!
