March 2010 NEWS

March is National Poison Awareness Month, Nutrition Awareness Month and Parenting Awareness Month.  *March 17 is St. Patrick’s Day!

March Birthdays: Garrett turns 5 on March 4th!

Amira turns 5 on the 12th!  Toby turns 1 on March 20th !

And Wyatt turns 2 on the 25th!  Happy Birthday!

Employee of the Month is Miss Holly!   Please congratulate her for her hard work during the month of February! Our teacher who won the “Best Homeroom” award is Miss Patti!  Finally, our “Best Quiz” was turned in by Miss Bailey!  Congratulations & keep up the great work!

  

Please remember: It is important that parents call in their child’s absence or late arrival each day by 9:00 a.m.  School starts no later than 9 am.  We depend on accurate attendance to ensure the smooth operation of the school.      

Also: Please make sure that you sign your child in and out each day, and include the time plus your full name.  Finally, a two week minimum notice is required to terminate school service and close your account.  Thank you for your attention to these important issues.

Our language this month is French!  As part of our Practical Life curriculum we will be learning how to Open and Close Drawers.  We will work with Montessori’s Insets for Design as part of our Pre-Writing Language Lessons.  In Mathematics we will be working with Montessori’s Number Rods and Golden Beads.  As part of our Cultural and Science Lessons, we will be working with the Leaf Puzzle and Flags from different countries.  Our theme activities include Planting Seeds and a Bubble Factory!

Teachers Assistant

Immediate opening, the Teachers Assistant is a position in which the employee floats to the different groups and activity areas to meet the needs of the Teachers, children and the center at the direction of the Director and/or Acting Director.  A quality candidate should be personable and a self-starter, willing to do a variety of tasks and able to complete tasks with some independence.  The Teacher Assistant also should be able to manage a group of children with some training.  Experience is preferred but not required.  High School Diploma or GED is required.  Apply in person to 2243 E University Dr in Mesa or send your Resume and/or Letter of Interest via the website Contact page.  We are 1/4 mile East of Gilbert RD on University Dr in Mesa.
